जयपुर। दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल (Delhi Public School) जयपुर के तत्वावधान में 8 से 11 अक्टूबर तक चले चार दिवसीय ‘17वें सी.एल. जयपुरिया मेमोरियल इंटर स्कूल टूर्नामेंट-2022’ का भव्य समापन समारोह मंगलवार को हुआ। इस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि विद्यालय की प्रो वाईस चेयरपर्सन (Pro-Vice-Chairperson ) देवयानी जयपुरिया उपस्थित रहीं। विद्यालय की प्राचार्या रीटा पी. तनेजा ने उनका स्वागत कर उनकी उपस्थिति को विद्यार्थियों के लिए प्रेरणाप्रद बताया। विद्यालय की प्रो वाईस चेयरपर्सन देवयानी जयपुरिया ने विद्यार्थियों को खेलों के महत्त्व के बारे में बताते हुए छात्र-जीवन में खेलों की उपयोगिता को समझाया।
इस टूर्नामेंट में फुटबॉल, वॉलीबॉल, हैंडबॉल, बैडमिंटन, चेस, बास्केटबॉल और एथलेटिक्स सहित कुल सात प्रकार के खेलों की विविध प्रतियोगिताएँ आयोजित करवाई गई। इनमें सीबीएसई से मान्यता प्राप्त 37 से भी अधिक प्रतिष्ठित विद्यालयों की 234 टीमों के 2 हजार से भी ज्यादा छात्र-छात्राओं ने हिस्सा लिया। उल्लेखनीय है कि छात्र-छात्राओं में अनुशासन, सहयोग और दृढ़ता की भावना के विकास के लिए यह टूर्नामेंट विद्यालय की तरफ से हर वर्ष आयोजित किया जाता है।
इस इंटर स्कूल खेल-टूर्नामेंट की शुरुआत वर्ष 2006 में रवि जयपुरिया ने अपने पिता सी.एल. जयपुरिया के समक्ष उनके सम्मान में की थी।
विद्यालय की प्रो वाईस चेयरपर्सन देवयानी जयपुरिया द्वारा इस टूर्नामेंट में सर्वाधिक 44 अंक अर्जित करने पर नीरजा मोदी स्कूल की विजेता टीम को ‘सी. एल. जयपुरिया मेमोरियल ट्रॉफी’ देकर सम्मानित किया। साथ ही दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल, जयपुर की टीम को रनरअप घोषित किया गया। इसके बाद उपप्राचार्य रवि दत्त ने समारोह में उपस्थित सभी लोगों को धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। इसके साथ ही अगले वर्ष फिर मिलने के वादे और तब तक खेल-भावना को जीवंत बनाए रखने के साथ इस टूर्नामेंट का समापन हुआ।

DPS ,Jaipur hosts 17th C L JAIPURIA MEMORIAL CUP

Delhi Public School, Jaipur organised its 17th C.L.Jaipuria Memorial Cup under the able guidance of its Pro Vice Chairperson Devyani Jaipuria, a very well known edupreneur, a philanthropist and the founder of Alia charitable trust. The event was mentored and guided by the School Director Aditi Misra.
C.L Jaipuria Tournament is a significant part of the student life of DPS, Jaipur and is a running trophy that goes to the school which scores the highest points in the tournament.
The tournament was declared open by the Principal, Rita . P. Taneja, on October 8, 2022 followed by the oath taking and flag hoisting ceremony.
A total number of 234 teams from 37 schools of Jaipur participated in the event. The tournament witnessed senior and junior category matches of Football, Badminton, Handball, Volleyball and Chess and various races. It definitely enhanced the spirit of sportsmanship and competition amongst the students and gave them an opportunity to display their mettle .
The Principal, Rita.P.Taneja, welcomed all the dignitories and the august gathering at the closing ceremony on 11 October,2022 followed by the Ganesh Vandana and dance performances that added to the excitement and fervor of the mega event celebration. Ms. Devyani Jaipuria, the Pro Vice Chairperson, awarded the winners at the prize distribution ceremony. In her address, Devyani Jaipuria, motivated the students to give their best and appreciated the efforts put in by the school team for organising such a grand event and to keep up the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the C.L journey. Col. Deepak Sehgal, Vice President, administration and operations, DPS also graced the occasion.
The overall C.L.Jaipuria Memorial Trophy, was bagged by Neerja Modi School with 44 points. The programme culminated with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal.
