 इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि ज्योति सक्सेना एक बड़ी फिल्म जंकी हैं और बॉलीवुड की सभी फिल्में देखती हैं। हाल ही में कंगना रनौत की फिल्म "थलाइवी" रिलीज हुई थी जो उनके वास्तविक प्रदर्शन के कारण काफी चर्चा में है। फिल्म के बारे में बात करते हुए ज्योति सक्सेना ने कहा, "मैंने हाल ही में थलाइवी फिल्म देखी और इस तरह के एक प्रमुख अभिनेता को जयललिता की भूमिका को इतनी आसानी और पूरी तरह से चित्रित करते हुए देखना अद्भुत था, फिल्म आपको अलग युग में ले जाती है,  एक अलग समय दिखाने के लिए सराहना की जानी चाहिए। मेरे जैसे एक अभिनेता के लिए इस तरह की एक प्रेरक और मजबूत भूमिका करना वास्तविकता में आपको प्रभावित करता है, और सशक्त बनाती है। फिल्म थलाइवी में सच्ची महिला सशक्तिकरण को दर्शाया गया है। दक्षिण फिल्म उद्योग में ऐसे फिल्म में काम करना एक चुनौती होगी पर और इस तरह के मजबूत पात्रों को चित्रित करना एक सपने के सच होने जैसा होगा।"
